Mission to the World team leads our community in financially supporting, in praying for, and in visiting missionaries who are strategically placed throughout the world. Furthermore, we look for growth to come as more and more members of our body gain short-term or long-term cross-cultural missionary experience. Not only might Christ use such trips to advance his gospel in other parts of the world, he will most certainly use them to bring gospel growth in our midst as we are transformed by these experiences.

We look for this missionary growth to come as Redeemer continues to grow strong – through its worshiping, learning, sharing, serving and growing movements as a community – as a central, in-town, anchor church, while also continuing to plant churches in greater Austin and the Central Texas region in a wise and timely manner. We will expect Redeemer’s Mission to North America team and Session to provide leadership in this dynamic interplay of anchor church growth and church planting growth.

Summer Mission Opportunities
Peru

Last July was our second short term mission trip to Trujillo, Peru. We went not knowing quite what we would be doing or whether we would be up to the task. We felt out of place, yet strangely at home, as they gave us tremendous opportunities for service and spiritual growth. Construction and teaching were the main services we provided last year. However, the parish is as full of opportunities for service as there are people in it. Please pray about whether you should come on this year’s trip.

Contact Rick Bocock (rlbocock@earthlink.net) or
Mike Matlock (keycor@aol.com) for further information and commitment.
