Redeemer Presbyterian Church School of Discipleship
Spring 2010, beginning January 31st
God has promised that He will “instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” Under His ever watchful eye and with great joy we will resume our School of Discipleship on Sunday January 31st. We look forward to seeing all participate in the children’s and adult classes this semester as we discover more about the God we serve and learn how best to serve Him and one another. The class description, times, and location are listed below. We would anticipate that adults with children would attend a class at the same time their children attend, allowing families to worship together.

Rev. Jack Smith
Church Life 101 or Doing the Hard Work of Getting Along - In Eph 3 Paul says that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known. So how is it that we, the church, who are actually part of the problem, can be the vessel through which the wisdom of God will be made known? The class will discuss the concrete physical things and structures that God has provided to accomplish this very spiritual and divine purpose.
Adult 5 – Calvin Hall Room E204 - Growing in Christ
Joel Pafford
How do we grow in Christ? Do we contribute to our growth in holiness or is it all of grace, or is it both? What are the things we can do to nurture our own, and our family’s love for and growth in Christ. Joel Pafford will address these questions, and more in this class on Growing in Christ.

The Scriptures exhort believers to “be no longer children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine' but to 'grow up into Him in all things” (Eph. 4:14-15), “being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.' (Col. 1:10). Do you hunger for a deeper walk with God, a deeper knowledge of your loving Father, revealed in the grand truths of His Word? Whether you are a young or seasoned Christian, this doctrinal survey course is designed to inflame your heart for Christ by examining subjects such as inspiration/inerrancy, the attributes of God, Christ and His work, the Holy Spirit, the Church, and even eschatology. Come join us.
